Below, we’ll provide 5 different ways you can integrate self-care into your lifestyle. 

  1. Add movement to the mundane. If you are able, try to take breaks when you spend a long time sitting. Get going and move around whenever you can! Whether you take the stairs instead of the elevator or dance the night away, even a little bit of movement can boost your mood and give your body extra energy.
  2. Eat food packed with the nutrients your body needs. Try to get as many vitamins and minerals as you can with a varied diet including fruits and vegetables. 
  3. Catch those z’s. Sleep is just as important as diet and exercise. Remember to stay away from screens an hour before bedtime and be consistent with your sleep schedule. 
  4. Just be. Incorporate moments of silence and stillness into your day. Try a deep breathing exercise to help you stay calm in moments of stress. Practice meditation and over time it will become a grounding habit.
  5. Socialize. Being with others helps foster a sense of belonging. Join a club or host a hobby night with your friends.
